The Captain
Captain Luis Sotero
A third-generation South Florida captain, born and raised in the Florida Keys.
I grew up piloting large vessels from a young age. Since then I have logged extensive sea time on every kind of boat, from luxury center consoles and yachts to high performance power boats.
Today I captain NATA, a 2025 Riva 68 Diable, and serve as estate manager for a private family, leading a full-time crew of five. Before NATA, I was captain of a 68' Viking sportfish. Before that, I worked as mate on private and charter yachts in the Bahamas.
I bring strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, disciplined maintenance, clear communication and professional service to every trip.
